Overview
A flavour-led storefront and subscription experience for a Manchester roastery — built for repeat ritual, not one-off purchase.
01The challenge
Gilkuy roast extraordinary coffee. Their subscription, however, churned at 38% in month two — a leaky bucket that no amount of paid acquisition was going to fix.
02Our approach
We rebuilt the storefront around flavour, not SKU; redesigned the subscription portal so customers could pause, swap and skip in two taps; and added a tasting-note engine that paired roasts with the brew method at home.
03The outcome
Month-three retention rose from 62% to 92%, subs sign-up tripled, and the brand is now Manchester's biggest direct-to-door roastery.
