An operations cockpit for a UK 3PL — live shipment tracking, exception handling and a spreadsheet-killer rates engine.
01The challenge
Orbit's operators were running £80M of freight from a tab-spaghetti of spreadsheets, emails and three legacy tools. Mistakes were measured in pallets, not pixels.
02Our approach
We co-designed an ops cockpit around the four daily rituals, replaced the rates spreadsheet with a typed engine, and integrated nine carrier and ERP feeds into a single live view.
03The outcome
Manual interventions dropped 71%, on-time delivery rose 38%, and Orbit have onboarded their three biggest accounts since launch — without growing the ops team.
